As a 2009 graduate of WSSU with a BA in Computer Graphics and Animation, I am and always have been passionate about art. ART IS EVERYWHERE...the cars we drive, the houses we live in, the clothes we wear, the signs we see, magazines we read-along with the sculptures and paintings we admire, is ART! Art has always been a part of me. While at WSSU, I received awards and acknowledgements for various designs I created for the MS Foundation, Goodwill Industries, and for the Alumni Office at Winston Salem State University. During my teaching career, I received an Excellence in Education Award by the National Sorority Of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., Beta Lambda Chapter.

I am married to a great man and we have a four-legged daughter named Maggie who is a Cairn Terrier. I grew up in Robeson County (near South of the Border Tourist area and 1 hour from Myrtle Beach). I have been teaching art for about 6 years now, and I enjoy every moment of it. Teaching art to youth and watching them use their creativity inspires me to be an even greater teacher!
