Christina Tyler is a metalsmith artist with a BFA in Craft and Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has taught adult and youth metals classes as well as many art camp classes for all ages of children at Sawtooth, Pocosin, and the Carrboro Arts Center. She has been a studio assistant at Penland School of Craft and a gallery assistant at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond. She has worked in fine jewelry, contemporary jewelry, sculpture, and is now learning blacksmithing. She will be starting her MFA in Design and Production at University of North Carolina School of the Arts this fall.
