Lauranita Katende
Lauranita Katende is the Human Resource Manager at Kaleideum, the children’s museum in Winston-Salem. She has had careers in banking, finance, and training and development in the areas of social justice, health equity and conflict management.
Lauranita took her first pottery class at Sawtooth in 1989 and has evolved over the years as a textile artist. She joined the board in the Fall of 2022, as the artist’s representative, in a non-voting capacity. She loves to travel, read and creates one of a kind purses, totes, pillows and quilted wall art.
