KAREN MORRIS
Karen Morris is the Assistant Principal of Instruction and former Arts Magnet Director at RJ Reynolds High School and holds teacher certifications in Mathematics (K-12) and Elementary Education. She has taught in a variety of educational settings across grade levels and subject matter disciplines. She was the 2019 NC Arts Administrator of the Year, the 2016 WSFCS Magnet Teacher of the Year, and a member of Cohort 3 of the High Point Leadership Academy. Karen has been involved in magnet schools since 2007 and is an A+ Fellow providing Professional Development for schools across the country in Arts Integration and Magnet Implementation.
Karen took classes at Sawtooth as a child, and her four children have taken part in the arts education opportunities at Sawtooth from 1999 until the present. She wants to support the growth and community involvement of Sawtooth while serving on the board.
