The Magic of Wood Cyanotypes ( 15+)
In this workshop students will learn how to print a range of materials (photos, leafs, flowers) onto a piece of wood. The process is scientific but the outcome is magical and students will leave the workshop with a one of a kind photo print creation. Students are encouraged to bring in their favorite and personal photo image which will be scanned and then converted into a 'negative' for the wood cyanotypes. Instructor Marina Paul will teach the multi step process including exposing your image to the wood outdoors and then treating the wood with darkroom chemicals used for the cyanotype process. This is a hands on process any photographer or artist will be sure to love. Please note the total cost for this workshop is $105.Tuition $80 plus $25 for the Cyanotype Chemicals and Wood Materials fee. No previous experience needed.
