Papermaking Workshop
Students will learn to make paper with master paper maker Nicole Uzzell. We will start with a vat of cotton rag pulp, pull standard 8 1/2" x 11" sheets, then press before drying naturally. In the afternoon, we will move to decorative papers with dyes (indigo, walnut and iron oxide) as well as a variety of additives and embellishments. Students will walk away with beautiful, usable sheets of handmade paper perfect for bookmaking, collage, mixed media and card making. Cost includes use of all equipment and supply kit. Age 14 and up.
