Create nature-inspired pieces in this workshop for seasoned beginners and intermediate to advanced level students. Learn techniques to achieve detailed botanical images in metal clays. Have success combining multiple components with tube set stones on your silver clay pieces, and much more!

In this 2-day workshop you'll learn to:
-Create silicone putty molds with local botanicals
-Fabricate small embellishments with sterling silver clay
-Layer dried elements together with minimal cleanup
-Solder bails, earrings posts, and tube settings onto fired metal clay
-Make ear wires
-Achieve an even patina
-Polish to a satin or mirror finish with rotary and hand tools

Students should bring their own standard metal clay tool kit

A kit fee of $95 will be collected by the instructor during the workshop
Kit includes:
-25g EZ960 clay (more will be available for purchase if necessary)
-Sterling silver tube settings, jump rings, wire and posts
-3D Printed Clay cutters
-Sanding sponge and paper
-Many lab created gemstones to choose from
-Two part silicone putty
-Use of shared tools and equipment
