Copying the Masters: Andy Warhol
The 'Pop Artist' loved and loathed world over. Andy Warhol's roots in illustration are fundamental to appreciating and interpreting his work. Iconic images of Soup cans, Marylin Monroe, and Jackie Onassis have influenced and inflamed the art world for more than a generation. In this class we will choose an iconic Warhol work, reverse engineer how it was made, and then through student homework, copy it.
