Turn a Three Legged Stool
Take your wood turning to the next level with this simple furniture project that covers the basics of turned legs and precisely sized tenons. From material selection to the orientation of the wood within the joints, there is so much to learn from the process of turning a stool. Starting with blanks for three legs and a seat, students will take their lumber from start to finish, covering an array of tools from the lathe to the hand drill. Skill level is intermediate and up. Prior turning experience in either our Fundamentals of Woodturning or Begin to turn: Bowls workshop will be helpful. Mask wearing and social distancing is required in all Sawtooth classes.
