Begin to Turn - Introduction to Bowls
Start your exploration of woodturning in this fun and fast-paced series of projects. Though not a comprehensive beginner’s course to turning, students will be introduced to the lathe and lathe safety, material selection & preparation, as well as basic turning tools, concepts, and skills. All materials included in class fee. No woodworking experience necessary and classes are open to all skill levels. Class size limited to 3 students, providing plenty of individual attention and lots of hands-on practice. The class is open to students ages 16 and up. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes.
Class will meet from 6 pm - 8:30 pm on Friday evening for introductions and material prep, and then spend the following Saturday in the Lathe studio from 10 am to 4 pm with a mid day lunch break.
