Self bow
Carve into generations of knowledge, techniques and skills with master bowyer, Dane Snodgrass. Beginning with a rough branch, you'll work with the bare minimum of hand tools to craft a primitive weapon. This intro to bowmaking class will take you from material selection to tool use, and get you aquainted to working in tune with the wood itself to create a supple, elegant bow of your very own. The class is open to students ages 14 and up. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes.
Students will need to come prepared with a hatchet, a four-way shoe rasp, and an old hunting knife.
A $20 material fee will be due to the instructor upon the first class.
