Resawing Your Own Veneer

Learn to make the most of your lumber by using a bandsaw to "resaw" thinner stock, and even veneer. In this lecture and demonstration-based class, students can expect to learn about tuning up a bandsaw for more precise cutting, for applications such as creating beautiful book-matched veneer for furniture making and marquetry. Students will get hands on practice at the Band Saw and Jointer and are encouraged to come with photos and model numbers of their own bandsaw (if applicable) for advice and discussion of particular saw models and different guide systems. All skill levels are welcome.
