Introduction to Woodturning
Immerse yourself in the basics of wood turning and spend extended time getting to know the lathe! Over the course of five weeks, you’ll learn all about the tools and techniques necessary to turn spindles (between centers) and bowls (faceplate). With lots of hands-on time to practice as well as plenty of individual instruction, you’ll build your skills in turning while completing several classic turning projects from candle stick holders to platters. This course will teach a beginning turner to prioritize safe and effective techniques, essential to a solid foundation in woodturning.
Additional Information: A material fee of $25 is due upon Registration. Class size is limited to four students. Enrollment is limited to students 18 and up. Masking and Social Distancing is required in all Sawtooth Classes
