Bamboo Horse Bow
Carve and construct a functioning bow that is true to historic design and made from sustainable materials. The domestication of the horse and the development of the stirrup changed the field of archery and how ancient bows were made. The evolution of warfare resulted in a bow that was short, stout, quick, and easy to handle while astride a horse. Rather than carving a bow from a single board or branch, you'll carve and assemble the parts of this bow, learning techniques for building this sturdy but flexible bow with glue, wrapping and binding. No experience necessary.
