Bentwood Oval Box
Explore the art of wood bending with bentwood oval boxes. Learn about selecting and preparing the right wood for bending and working with a hot water tray and bending forms to take advantage of the natural properties of wood to create curved forms. Through creating this traditional form, you'll learn to expand the possibilities of working with wood. Students can expect to make one oval box in class. The instructor will also cover finishing with traditional shellac. All skill levels are welcome and materials and tools will be provided.
