Sewing Your Story: Narrative Textiles and Story Cloths
Textiles and sewing have long been vehicles for self-expression, capturing stories and meaning around the world for generations. Stitching can also be a powerful process for focusing on mindfulness and stress reduction. Join us to learn the process of creating narrative textiles to express your own story or hold creative meaning. You’ll learn basic hand embroidery and sewing processes, as well as an introduction to small-scale quilting processes.
$15 supply kit fee is due at time of registration. All necessary materials are included in the supply kit, but please bring any meaningful textiles or scraps of interesting fabric you may want to incorporate into your work!
The class is open to students ages 14 and up. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes.
