Lives of Great Photographers
In the history of photography, the lives of the most influential image-makers are as interesting and complex as the images they left behind, and continue to make. In this class, we will explore a diverse group of artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, from Minor White, Graciela Iturbide, Sally Mann and Susan Burnstine to Hiroshi Sugimoto and Masao Yamamoto. Class Participants will also have and opportunity to create their own beautiful photographs that capture their own unique visual experiences of the world. No photography experience is necessary! Just use whatever digital camera you have available, including your cell phone
