Intro Film Photography
Experience the magic of film photography from capture to processing. In this 4-week intensive class students will learn how to create personal and expressive images with film cameras, manually process negatives, and develop prints in our fully functional darkroom. Digital has revolutionized the photography space for speed and immediate feedback but still does not match the nostalgic and emotional look of hand processed negatives or darkroom printed images. This class will also include guests artist talks showing their portfolios and describing why they still use and prefer film photography. Please note there is a mandatory $50 materials fee that will be automatically added at checkout. This materials fee covers 3 Rolls of 35mm Illford HP5+ BW film, darkroom chemicals, and darkroom paper consumables. Students will be given their 3 rolls on the first day of class. Ages: 13 - Adult
