Creating Cabochons & Wire-Wrapped Pendant - Combination Class!
We’ve teamed up two of our favorite instructors to present this class that combines both lapidary (stone cutting/carving/polishing into a cabochon) with wire-wrapped jewelry-making!
Instructor Charles Whicker will start off the four-week class by presenting the art of lapidary. You’ll start your beautiful cabochon pendant by choosing a slab of stone from numerous choices provided, then learn and practice all the steps to grind and polish the stone into a finished gemstone worthy of being showcased in a piece of jewelry. You’ll have the opportunity to create more than one cabochon during the first three weeks of class under Charlie's guidance.
On the final evening of the session, Nannette Davis will teach you two variations of wire-wrapped pendants. Take your favorite stone and learn to wire-wrap it with jeweler’s wire to create a pendant (or two!) you’ll love to show off. No experience with stone cutting or jewelry making is necessary. All materials are included in the class fee.
