Screenprinting Dish Towels
Convert your own drawing or design to a collection of hand-printeddish towels in this energetic and informative one-day workshop. Whilescreen-printing typically requires an exposure unit andphoto-sensitive emulsion, screen-printing with stencils is the perfectdo-it-at-home option. Students may bring a bold, simple one color drawing to the workshop and work with the instructor to refine the artwork (as needed) to be “print-ready.” Students will learn thebasics of screen printing with stencils: how to prepare a screen usingcut stencils or painting with screen blockers, and how to print theirdesigns using textile inks. Leave with a set of dish towels!
