Intro to Printmaking Camp
Explore two printmaking methods linocuts, gelatin prints, monoprints. Gelatin plates allow you to print without a press. Rolling on ink with brayers, students can make images by laying down natural objects and stencils. With monoprinting, explore the techniques of subtractive, additive, colorblending, painterly, and cutout shape applications on special plastic plates to make multiple unique prints using the press. Linoleum block printing is a great introduction to relief printing, easy to carve and make dynamic images.
