Hallie is a recent graduate from Appalachian State University, where she studied biology. After spending much time as a student of science, Hallie wanted to reconnect to her love of art after graduating.

As a Winston-Salem native, she has taken art classes at Sawtooth from a young age: painting, printmaking, mixed media, and most recently, wheel throwing. When she saw that Sawtooth was hiring for front desk support, Hallie was excited by the idea of learning more about the administrative work that goes into keeping SSVA running as well as getting to know the Sawtooth community better.

In the future, she hopes to use some of this knowledge in combination with her biology background to continue researching the intersection of art and neuropsychology, as she did for her senior thesis. From dancing to drawing to sculpting, Hallie enjoys creativity of all types and is excited to be supporting a place that offers such a wide range of artistic expression!
