We will look at how the tools differ from their western counterparts and talk about where to get good quality tools. Suitable for complete beginners up to seasoned pros. Additionally we will touch on sharpening, how tools are made, and peripheral tools such as marking gauges, hammers, and some specialty variations. All materials provided, students are encouraged to bring a notepad and camera (phone, etc). The class is open to students ages 17 and up. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes.
