Rolling Mill Textured Cuff Bracelet- Etched Plates and More
Cover two approaches using the rolling mill to create one of a kind surface designs in metal. First, etch brass plates with different resists and used that etched plate to emboss your unique designs to other metals. Then use the plate itself to form a cuff bracelet! Second, work with found fabrics, papers, and metal in the rolling mill. By layering the effects, create textured compositions unlike any other for jewelry pieces working in copper and silver. Learn lots of tips for patina and finishing your work to highlight the textured design. Basic jewelry fabrication skills are helpful. A $40 material fee will be paid to the instructor during class and includes all materials and supplies. Class is open to ages 16 through adult. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes. The workshop is limited to six students, so sign up now! This workshop meets on two consecutive Saturdays, February 13 and February 20.
