Viscosity and Multi-Plate Etching
Using zinc plates, environmentally friendly copper sulfate, and Akua soy-based inks, this course will demonstrate the traditional etching process and allow for time to experiment with multiple colors on the same plate, through the technique of viscosity printing. Broken into two classes, the first will focus on technique, demonstrations, idea development, and plate / paper preparation, while the second will be entirely devoted to printing multiples and color exploration.
