Our Youth Program is designed to enrich art experiences in the schools and at home with a wide range of classes, all small enough for personalized attention. Our aim is to improve the student's visual skills while introducing continuing challenges and new techniques. Contact youngart@sawtooth.org

Youth Summer Art Camp Information:
Available for grades K - 5th. Pre-K eligible for half-day classes only.

Half Day Camp member fee: $125/wk non-member fee: $145/wk. (see hours & grades below)
Full Day Camp member fee: $235/wk non-member fee: $255/wk (see hours & grades below)
Register and pay by May 1, receive a $10 discount

Before care available: 8 - 9 am, $25/wk (this must be requested and paid for when registering)
After care available: 5 - 6 pm, $25/wk (this must be requested and paid for when registering)

Full day students must bring a bag lunch each day except Friday.
Pizza from Mellow Mushroom on Fridays for full-day students.
Morning and afternoon snack provided (if your child has a food allergy please supply a snack from home)

8507. Out of this World, 6/16 - 6/20
Blast off into summer! Start your main engines and get ready for a five-day mission through the galaxy and beyond. This will be an exploration in art! Construct your own rocket, design a space suit, draw and paint planets and stars. Let space exploration carry you away into your very own imagination.
Full day K-2: 9 am - 5 pm or Half-day all ages: 2 - 5 pm

8508. Outback Adventure, 6/23 - 6/27
No worries mate, this week we are going to explore the smallest and flattest continent on earth. Australia is full of fascinating animals, birds and geography. Join us as we draw and paint our way around the desert to the barrier reef. Have fun sculpting a dingo, koala, wombat or kangaroo of your very own. Do not miss this week of art adventure.

8509. In a Land Far, Far Away, 7/07 - 7/11
Jump on your talking horse and pretend you are riding with us through glass mountains as we explore a land far, far away! While on our artful journey we will meet many different characters created by you. Paint and draw fairies, elves and giants! Create magical helpers out of clay! This is your week to be far, far away and make your dreams come true!

8510. Ocean Commotion, 7/14 - 7/18
Hold your breath and pretend you are diving into an ocean of art commotion! What do you see? Submerge your imagination as we create coral reefs, paint pirate ships and sculpt sea creatures from the deep. We will make the colors of the ocean come to life with terrific art projects inspired by the sea!

8512. Jurassic Giants, 7/21 - 7/25
Travel back 200 million years and walk with the Jurassic Giants! Join us as we take an artful pre-historic journey. On this journey we will paint a brachiosaurous, sculpt fossils and draw a diplodocus. Create your own dinosaur with many different art materials. This is a week you do not want to miss!

8511. Dribble, Splat, Splash, 7/28 - 8/01
Dribble paint like Pollack, splash color like Monet, and splat shapes like Picasso. We will be exploring the techniques of some of the world’s greatest artists this week. Join us on this wonderful art history journey. Be prepared to discover your own artistic style. Full Day, all ages, 9 am - 5 pm or
Half-day, all ages, 9 am - 12 noon

8514. Amazing Africa, 8/04 - 8/08
We will be exploring the crafts and culture of the second largest continent on earth. Art projects will be inspired by the natural wonders of Africa. Enjoy sculpting lions, hyenas and cheetahs out of clay. Draw and paint a colorful safari with giraffes! This will be an art experience of a lifetime! Full Day, all ages, 9 am - 5 pm or Half-day, all ages, 9 am - 12 noon

8506. Cirque du Sawtooth, 8/11 - 8/15
Bring your summer to an end with a colorful circus carnival! Close your eyes and pretend you are entering into a world where anything can happen. Create spectacular painted acrobats and dazzling sculpted clowns. We will be using chalk, oil pastels and many other art materials to draw a circus world of our own. Join us for our summer grand finale! Full Day, all ages, 9 am - 5 pm or Half-day, all ages, 9 am - 12 noon
