Students will explore the fundamentals of drawing and painting through still life and portraiture. Students will learn to get the most from shading, contour, line, proportion and composition. Make your drawings come to life and learn how to animate! Students will become acquainted with the basics of animation, and get lots of hands-on practice as they explore a variety of animation techniques. At the conclusion of the course, each student will get a video copy of the animation they create. This class is suitable for new and continuing animation students. Space is limited to six students, so sign up early!

2339. Pet Portrait and Bowl (for Kids Grades 2-5 or Adults)
Instructor Nicole Uzzell
Serve your pet’s food or water in a beautiful clay bowl that you created just for them. Flatter them with a clay sculpture that shows them at their finest. We’ll make both using several forming methods, including slabs, coils, and modeling. Bring a picture of your pet to show your classmates and inspire you as you work. Your furry or feathered friend will be so impressed. Pieces will be glazed and fired for pickup later.
