Our Youth Program is designed to enrich art experiences in the schools and at home with a wide range of classes, all small enough for personalized attention. 807. Drawing & Painting for K- 2nd Grade
Instructor Jennifer Holder
Students will explore the fundamentals of drawing and painting through still life and portraiture. Students will learn to get the most from shading, contour, line, proportion and composition. There will be time for experimenting with techniques and materials, such as, pencil, pastels, charcoal, paint and ink. Class is suitable for beginners and more experienced students!

806. Saturday Studio for K - 2nd Grade

This class is a wonderful introduction to new and exciting art materials! Stretch the imagination and explore a variety of media in a relaxed, fun environment. Attention will be given to developing new techniques and creativity while working with paint, oil pastel, paper and more!

869. Multicultural Art

Create arts and crafts from around the world. Explore geography and culture through drawing, painting and 3-D projects. We will be using mediums such as clay, paper, fiber and paint. This will be a class full of culture and creativity!

842. Animation
Instructor David Emerson
Make your drawings come to life and learn how to animate! Students will become acquainted with the basics of animation, and get lots of hands-on practice as they explore a variety of animation techniques. At the conclusion of the course, each student will get a video copy of the animation they create. This class is suitable for new and continuing animation students. Space is limited to six students, so sign up early!

2339. Pet Portrait and Bowl (for Kids Grades 2-5 or Adults)

Instructor Nicole Uzzell
Serve your pet’s food or water in a beautiful clay bowl that you created just for them. Flatter them with a clay sculpture that shows them at their finest. We’ll make both using several forming methods, including slabs, coils, and modeling. Bring a picture of your pet to show your classmates and inspire you as you work. Your furry or feathered friend will be so impressed. Pieces will be glazed and fired for pickup later.

2340. Mealtime Delight (for Kids Grades 2-5)
Instructors Juanita Disher and Deedee Fitts
Make mealtime special! Create a handmade bowl and cup designed by you just for you. Use them every morning for your cereal and juice for a very special breakfast; or soup and milk for lunch. Your family members will be so jealous. Pieces will be glazed and fired for pickup later. For Grades 2-5.

9020. Teen Art Focus: Intro to Wheelthrowing for 6th - 8th Grade

Instructor Holly Laponte
This fun and challenging class is especially designed for beginners to the wheel. Demonstrations and one-on-one attention teach students to understand how the potter's wheel works while making cups, bowls, and more. Work will be glazed and fired for pickup later.

9021. Teen Art Focus: Creating with Clay for 6th - 8th Grade or 3rd - 5th Grade
Instructor Debbie Sells
Through fun and expressive projects, students will explore a variety of clay-working techniques and make a number of pottery forms from functional to sculptural. Students will learn forming techniques along with expressing their own personality. Work will be glazed and fired for pickup later.
