We are expanding our popular “Taste of Art” series starting this month. In addition to the regularly scheduled Friday evening classes, Thursday evening Taste of Art options are offered several times during the current winter session. Participants bring a bottle of wine or their favorite beverage and snacks to enjoy while they create a piece of art in these fun, laid-back classes that last 2 to 2.5 hours. Sessions include ceramics, jewelry making, painting & drawing, glass work and photography. Instructors walk participants through each step of the creative process, so no experience is required.
“One reason Taste of Art is so popular is because it’s a great group activity that is both fun and affordable,” said Sawtooth Executive Director JoAnne Vernon.
“Some come to celebrate birthdays or other special occasions while others are looking for a different twist on girls’ or guys’ night out. By the end of the evening, everyone in the class has become friends, and they walk away with a piece of art they’ve created with their own hands!”
Pre-registration is required for Taste of Art classes. Fees are $35 & $40. Class schedules and on-line registration can be found at https://www.sawtooth.org/classes/taste-of-art/. For more information on Taste of Art and other classes or to register by phone, call (336)723-7395 ext. 201.

I saw a segment on North Carolina Weekend about an art class, where you bring a bottle of wine, and create a piece of art to take home. However, this class was in another town. i thought to myself – i wish we had something like that here in Winston-Salem. Now we do!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you 🙂
