Dozens of families stopped by the Sawtooth School’s booth at the 9th annual Piedmont Earth Day Fair on Saturday, April 26, to make “stamp art” cards. Held at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds again this year, the event drew nearly 10,000 people interested in learning more about protecting, preserving and restoring the environment in fun and entertaining ways.
Piedmont Environmental Alliance, the non-profit organization that puts on this annual event, chose “Spring into Sustainability” as the theme for the 2014 Fair. Activities included hands-on environmental demonstrations, organic food, live entertainment, and interactive children’s projects like Sawtooth’s stamp art. Families took advantage of the opportunity to learn more about Sawtooth classes and workshops and to pick up schedules for kids’ summer art camps, kicking off on June 23.
