FLOORCLOTH WORKSHOP

Sawtooth will be providing each student with a piece of canvas that is primed in white and will finish to 2.5' x 3'. We'll also provide small canvas pieces for making samples, most paints and brushes and other commonly used materials.

Please bring the following with to the workshop:
Wear clothes that are comfortable and that you do not care if they get paint on them or bring an apron or old shirt. You can bring your lunch, drinks and snack foods. Sawtooth has a refrigerator and microwave oven you can use. There are several restaurants within walking distance, including the new Auction House restaurant in the Sawtooth Building. Special colors of acrylic craft or tube paint that you have or wish to buy - watercolor paints - to match your interior. Variety of small artist brushes - 1/2" wide flat bristle, round liner, round medium size, stencil brush. #2 pencil, art gum eraser, note pad, straight edge ruler, scissors, exacto knife. Saran Wrap, water mister, sponges (natural or cellulose) Hair dyer (helps the paint dry faster) Small plastic containers with lids, small bucket/container for waterIf you have a special project to work on, please bring all elements with you to the workshop. This may include photocopies, carbon paper for tracing, special stencils, brushes, etc.
If you have and would like to bring:
Color pencils, combs, pastry roller, rubber stamps, paint pens, wallpaper, wallpaper fabrics, clippings. Any decorative tools from Michael's - rubber combing tool, pouncer, etc.If you have sent your payment for this workshop - Thank you!
