Sawtooth "Atelier" for Young Children (880)
Learn to see the world around you through the eyes of ART! A specialized art class for preschoolers ages 3 to 5 years. (Atelier- pronounced at-l-yey, French word meaning a workshop or studio, esp. of an artist, artisan, or designer) Drawing influence from the preschools of Reggio Emilia, teachers and children will explore the language of drawing, painting and clay and other art mediums to achieve exposure to the tools and materials. Children will utilize their expressive languages to help make meaning of their ideas and concepts. The teachers will observe and document the children’s ideas to guide them in collaborative and individual projects that emerge from the children’s interests. Each child will receive a documented portfolio of their art works and expressive experience.
