Summer Art Immersion (9th-12th)
Digital Mash-Up: Studio Art and Photoshop
Exploring beginning to intermediate techniques in Photoshop, students will incorporate digital processes to create “hybrid” works of art that mix hand-made and digital processes. This is a course for art students who want to push their creative skills in new and modern directions. In Photoshop students will learn about a number of techniques, including different ways to create animated GIFs; layering and masking techniques; how to effectively use tools such as the magic wand and clone tool; how to create customizable color swatches and brush tools; and how to automate processes. (Digital Art Studio or previous Photoshop class is a prerequisite to this course).
