Photography Expedition: The English Lake District
A once in a lifetime opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery that the English Lake District has to offer, staying in lodgings chosen for their history, location in the fells, high standards, ambience & service. The Lake District National Park is a designated World Heritage Site, containing large regions of natural beauty protected by the National Trust. All transportation for the week is provided by minibus, beginning and ending at Windermere train station, Cumbria.
Photographic opportunities will focus on landscape photography in the mountains, lakes, waterfalls, historic sites & wildlife. Guided hikes & photography workshops will be offered throughout the day to suit the group. From Julian; “Of all the places I have guided groups through the mountains, the English Lake District stands above all others. I grew up amongst this breathtaking scenery, studying and then instructing in outdoor adventure. There are over 200 summit peaks and 80 glacial lakes and mountain tarns within the National Park. I know them all, like old friends. I have customized this tour to share my very favorite places with a small group. Photographic skill level is unimportant, as everyone needs to move at their own speed amongst such magnificent surroundings.”
Registration closes 12/1/18 to allow for accommodation reservations. Please see our website for full details before registering. Maximum group size 11. All students will be contacted to organize a convenient briefing date & time early 2019.
