THINK SMALL!! Macro photography gives us a scientific view of the world around us. However, it’s no longer isolated to the forensic and biomedical specialists, but has opened up for all photography enthusiasts as well. This 4 week course covers the equipment and techniques used by photographers in the production of magnified images by direct photographic means. Topics include magnification ratios, depth of field, pros & cons of specialized equipment and what happens when they are used (ring lights, extension tubes, bellows, focusing rail) and a variety of magnified subjects, image stacking using Adobe Photoshop. Requirements; DLSR camera, macro lens (or a camera with a devoted macro setting), tripod, shutter release.
