Intro to Glassblowing & Lampworking (530)
Students will create beautiful glass work using the bench torch and simple tools like pliers and marvers to manipulate the glass. Explore the art of lampwork using glass tubes and rods while you create small, figurative sculptures, ornaments, bottles and more. Lectures, demonstrations and hands-on practice will teach the basics of the craft. Included is historic and technical information on the use of glass and its properties. All material provided. Beginners and repeat students welcome. Class limited to eight.
