Intermediate and Advanced Painting Class (422)
Joyous observation and creative approaches to painting will be encouraged in this class. Students will focus on enhancing perception and observation from life while developing new painting skills. Possible painting materials will include watercolor gouache and acrylic. Class will include: reading excerpts from books by artists and writing a short reflection; working on homework assignments for around three hours per week; and, developing a series of paintings that includes an artist statement. Supplies provided for the first class. A supply list will be handed out and discussed at the first class session. Class limited to eight students, so sign up early!
