Drawing & Painting
A common sense approach to calligraphy. Introducing a variety of tools and acknowledging the power of pattern. We will take a close look at the 15th century italic hand in pursuit of a method of study a way of seeing. Combining stroke, repetition, rhythm and texture, we will build our relationships and work with families of letters. We'll give letters a place of value in the tradition of page design and a simple bound book. Sound like therapy? It is! Supplies provided (including the favorite new fountain pen).
