Children’s Book Author visits Sawtooth – July 29

In collaboration with Bookmarks and as a part of our Imagine, Create, ILLUSTRATE! themed youth art camp, Stacy McAnulty will join us on July 29 at 11:00 AM in the Davis Gallery to do a reading of her recent children’s books. Copies of her books will be available for sale and she will do a book signing after the presentation.

stacy-mcanulty-thumbStacy McAnulty is a children’s book author, who used to be a mechanical engineer, who’s also qualified to be a paleontologist (not really), a writer for The Daily Show (why not), and a Green Bay Packer coach (totally!). She’s the author of Excellent Ed illustrated by Julia Sarcone-Roach, 101 Reasons Why I’m Not Taking a Bath illustrated by Joy Ang,  Beautiful illustrated by Joanne Lew Vriethoff, Dear Santasaurus illustrated by Jef Kaminsky, and the chapter book series, The Dino Files illustrated by Mike Bolt.

When not writing, Stacy likes to listen to NPR, bake triple chocolate cupcakes, and solve the world’s problems one tweet at a time.  She lives in Kernersville, North Carolina with her 3 kids, 2 dogs, and 1 husband.

This even is free and open to Camp Sawtooth students and parents.
