Instructor Jim Carpenter
This fascinating carving class introduces students to the precise art of carving life-like birds out of wood, often basswood or teak. Students will learn the use of power carving tools (flexible shaft tools), burning tools, bird anatomy, and other techniques while creating the bird sculpture. Intermediate to advanced students will refine their skills. Beginners to advanced carvers. A $20 supply fee is payable to the instructor at the first class session. Students should bring a flexshaft machine and attachments if available.
